How do I request a photographer for an upcoming game?

Sign in and go to the Book a Photographer page. Complete the coverage request form with your event details — sport, date, venue address, and team information. Once submitted you will receive a PSR reference number by email to track your request. ASI currently provides photography coverage in the Greater Toronto Area.

Does every session include a free team photo?

Yes. Every booked session includes a complimentary team group photo for all players, regardless of how many individual photos are purchased.

How far in advance should I book?

We recommend booking at least 48 hours before your event to ensure availability. For tournaments or large events, booking a week or more in advance is ideal.

What sports do ASI photographers cover?

Our photographers cover a wide range of youth sports including hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, dance, and more. If you have a specific sport or event in mind, reach out and we will do our best to accommodate.

What areas does ASI provide photography coverage?

ASI currently provides sports photography coverage in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). When you enter your venue on the booking form, the system checks whether coverage is available at that location. If your venue is outside our current coverage area you will be notified, and we may still be able to help — contact us to discuss.

What is a PSR reference number?

When you submit a photography coverage request, ASI assigns a unique reference number in the format PSR-XXXXXXXX. Keep this number if you need to follow up with our team. You can also view the status of your request in the Requests section of your account dashboard.

When will I hear back after submitting a coverage request?

You will receive an email as soon as a photographer is confirmed for your event, including the photographer's name and contact number. If we are unable to arrange coverage in time, we will send you an email to let you know before your event date.

How do I find photos from my child's game?

Go to Browse Albums and use the search bar to filter by location, team name, or event name. Albums are organised by event date, so you can narrow down quickly by sport season.

Do I need an account to browse albums?

You need a free account to browse and purchase photos. Sign up takes under a minute — just an email address and password.

How are albums organised?

Each album corresponds to a specific event or game day and is tagged with the location, team, and event name. You can search or filter by any of these fields on the Albums page.

Can I preview photos before buying?

Yes. Thumbnail previews are shown for every photo in an album. You can browse the full album before adding anything to your cart.

What is an HD album preview and how do I unlock it?

Some albums offer a watermark-free high-definition preview, gated by a passcode provided by the photographer or event organiser. Scan the QR code or open the share link you received, sign in to your account, and enter the passcode on the album page. Once entered, you can view the full HD watermark-free photos for that album.

How do I share album photos with family or friends?

If you have purchased an album package, you can generate a shareable link on your Orders page. Anyone with the link can view the high-definition album photos and download them after signing in. You can revoke or regenerate the link at any time from My Orders.

Does All Star Imaging give back to the community?

Yes. A percentage of All Star Imaging's annual profits is donated to youth sports foundations that fund equal access to organised sport for children from all backgrounds.

Are there free photography sessions for community organisations?

Yes. ASI provides complimentary photography coverage for community and charitable events. We are also proud to offer free sessions to qualifying youth sports teams each season — contact us to find out if your team is eligible.

Which charitable foundations does ASI partner with?

ASI supports youth sports foundations focused on equal access to sport for children regardless of their financial circumstances. More details on our partner organisations will be published on the About Us page.

How do I download my purchased photos?

After completing your purchase, go to My Orders in your account. Each order is identified by its order number (e.g. Order #100001). Click the Download button next to any individual photo to save it. If you purchased an album package, use the Download Originals button to access all full-resolution photos from that album.

How long are download links valid?

Download links in your order confirmation email are valid for 7 days. You can also generate a fresh link at any time by visiting My Orders in your account — links generated there do not expire.

What resolution and format are the photos delivered in?

Photos are delivered as high-resolution JPEG files — the same full-resolution originals captured by the photographer. They are suitable for large prints, framing, or digital sharing.

Can I re-download a photo I already purchased?

Yes. Return to My Orders at any time and request a new download link for any previously purchased photo.

Can I download photos to my phone?

Yes. The download link works on any device with a browser. On mobile, tap and hold the image after opening the link to save it to your camera roll.

Will I receive a receipt or tax invoice?

Yes. After a completed purchase you receive two emails: an immediate order confirmation with your download links, followed by a formal tax invoice PDF within a minute or two. The invoice shows your order number, a line-item breakdown, the HST/GST amount, and the total paid — suitable for expense claims or CRA purposes.

Can I download the original photos from an album package?

Yes. Purchasing an album package gives you access to the full-resolution original files for every photo in that album. On the album page or in My Orders, use the Download Originals button. In Chrome and Edge the photos are saved into a folder automatically; in Safari and Firefox each photo downloads individually.

How do I become an ASI photographer?

Visit the Join Us page and click the Become a Photographer tab. Fill in your name, contact details, camera equipment, portfolio link, and years of experience. Our team reviews every application and will notify you of the decision — typically within 3–5 business days.

What equipment do I need to apply?

You need a camera body and lens capable of producing sharp action shots in indoor or low-light conditions — typically a mirrorless or DSLR with a fast telephoto lens. Specific approved camera models are listed during the application process.

How much can I earn as an ASI photographer?

Earnings depend on the number of sessions you complete and the photos purchased by families. Photographers receive a share of each sale. Many photographers supplement their income by $500–$1,000+ per month working part-time on weekends.

How long does the approval process take?

Applications are typically reviewed within 3–5 business days. You can check your application status at any time by visiting the Application Status page.

Can I check the status of my application?

Yes. Sign in and visit the Application Status page to see whether your application is pending, approved, or if feedback has been provided.

Is booking a photographer free?

Yes — booking is always free. You only pay for the individual photos you choose to purchase after the session.

How much do photos cost?

Individual photo prices are set per album and displayed on each photo. You can also purchase an entire album as a package at a single price, giving you access to all full-resolution original photos in that album. Prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) before tax. Promotional coupon codes may be available for a discount at checkout.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept all major credit and debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay — all processed securely through Stripe. You can also pay using All Star Imaging gift card credit, which is applied post-tax at checkout. ASI never stores your card details.

Are all sales final?

Yes, all photo purchases are final. If you experience a technical issue with your order or download, contact us and we will make it right.

Will I be charged in CAD?

Yes. All prices are displayed and charged in Canadian dollars (CAD). Applicable Canadian taxes (GST/HST) are calculated at checkout based on your billing province and added to the subtotal — prices shown on album pages are pre-tax.

How do gift cards work?

All Star Imaging gift cards are issued in fixed denominations ($25, $50, $100, or $200 CAD). To use one, go to your Profile and open the Gift Card Centre tab, then enter your card code to add the credit to your account. At checkout your available credit is applied automatically. If your balance covers the full order total, no card payment is required.

Can I use a gift card for a partial payment?

At this time, gift card credit must cover the full order total to complete a purchase without a credit card. If your balance is less than the order total, you will need to pay the full amount by card. Partial gift-card payments are planned for a future update.

How do promotional coupon codes work?

Enter your coupon code in the cart before proceeding to checkout. A valid code applies a percentage or fixed-dollar discount to your subtotal before tax is calculated. Only one coupon can be used per order, and codes cannot be combined.

Who can see the photos in an album?

Albums are accessible to any signed-in user on the platform. Some albums may be set to unlisted and are accessible only via a direct link shared by the photographer or ASI. We do not display personally identifiable player information — albums are searchable only by location, team name, and event name.

Is my payment information secure?

Completely. All payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS Level 1 certified. ASI never sees or stores your card number.

How does ASI handle my personal data?

We collect only what is necessary to operate the platform — your name, email, and order history. We do not sell your data to third parties. Full details are in our Data Privacy Policy.

Can I request deletion of my account and data?

Yes. Contact us at privacy@astarimaging.com and we will delete your account and associated personal data, subject to any legal retention obligations.

What cookies does All Star Imaging use?

We use essential cookies required for the site to function (such as your login session) and optional cookies for analytics and functionality improvements. You can review and update your preferences at any time via the Cookie Settings link in the website footer.
